Ghanikhut / Ram-Pam Waterfall – Perfect Monsoon Getaway

Hello all,
And it was Sunday again! Time flies, and whatever we do in this fast-paced world, we must take time for ourselves. If we say that we don’t have time for anything, then we might be over-exaggerating because we have to make efforts for it, and it’s the efforts we lack. It happens. I have done it many times. We prioritize wrong things and then blame the time. But eventually, we all do understand, sooner or later, the importance of important things and people.
So despite not being perfectly fit and fine, we went to Ghanikhut waterfall this Sunday as we wanted some timeout from our daily routine. Routine is becoming like a monstrous creature engulfing us, devouring and paralyzing us. We selected a waterfall where we didn’t have to hike, and Ghanikhut was the best option. The waterfall is located in Ghanikhut village, near Netrang. It is also known as Rampam Waterfall or Reva Waterfall.
It is a perennial fall, but the flow is highest during monsoon. But the water is muddy, and you won’t get pristine white form. For that, you have to go in post-monsoon months. These are giant water cascades. The sound of the water is the main attraction along with the site. This place will be crowded during late morning or evening, so you have to start early in the morning if you want some isolation. We started our journey at 5-30 am. Peace is easy, but you have to work hard to get that easy. And once you get that solemn, you will not look back. So if you want the place to yourself, you must go early. Reach there by 8-9 am and leave by 10 because that’s when the people start coming.
There are a few food stalls where you can get packed food and even boiled corn and corn chaat. Some stalls were selling Maggie also, but we were early, and they needed more time to prepare. There is a small trail from the stalls; by taking that, you can reach a small cliff. The view of the entire falls from the cliff is amazing. The water was muddy, and the force was great, so we didn’t consider going into the falls. Always ask locals before attempting to go near water. They are the best guide.
How to reach the waterfall:
The drive is the second-best part of the falls. Netrang is one of Gujarat’s most beautiful places in the monsoon. The lush green hills and winding roads are divine, and you feel at some hill station. have to follow the route on Google Maps. There is one turn that takes you to Fulwadi crossroads; from there, you have to take the left turn. If you skip that turn, it is also not a problem because you will reach via Netrang town. But the drive via Fulwadi is more scenic. And the best part is you can take your car up to the end, so it is the perfect place for a family picnic.
Best time to visit:
You can go all year round, but monsoon, post-monsoon, and even winter will be the best season. Avoid visiting during summer.
Things to carry:
You can get basic food at the site with water and some drinks.
Network:
If you are going via Netrang, the network is not an issue. But via Fulwadi, there is a stretch when you won’t get Airtel or BSL network.

Thank you.
Please don’t forget to share your experiences..
How is the place in March/April ?
Is there enough water to enjoy?
The flow will be less. But advantage is that you can take a dip and water will be clear. in Monsoon water is murky.
I have been here and u r absolutely right about the falls.. U can also try panjari waterfalls. They are quite close to the ghanikut waterfalls and less crowded. The whole shoolpaneshwar sanctuary area is like heaven on earth, esp during this season..
Thank you. We had planned to visit Panjari ghat last year, but kids were asleep so we went to Ninai. Now this year will definitely go to Panjari Ghat.
