Karad Lake : Find the quietness you need
Hello all,
When we were in the USA, We missed sounds.. all kinds of sounds… Sounds of constant horns… Sounds of people… Sounds or street vendors… and we don’t have Rosesh to make train sounds while Kishmi sleeps… But once we are here, we are again running away from all these sounds.. finding a wave of peace on Sunday morning. Back to our routine. And while searching for some relaxation, we went to Karad dam this Sunday.

It is like a breath of fresh air from city life… huge lake with greenery… This place must look like heaven in monsoon. The drive to Karad dam is quiet. You must take the road to Ghoghamba, and Google Maps will show you the perfect road!
It has been mentioned as a restricted area and you can’t take any vehicle. But you can always take a leisurely walk and that was our purpose.

It gave us the quiet we need, the peace we demand. Only a few fishermen were there with their boats; otherwise, we couldn’t see a soul, exactly like we wanted.
There is a small Bhathiji Maharaj temple just beside the lake on a small hill. The trail is very narrow but easy. And the view from the hillock is spectacular. You get an amazing panoramic view of the lake, and feel the vastness of the lake.

The weather was perfect, with a quiet breeze and sunlight encasing us like a cocoon. Kids were missing the mat and picnic basket as they thought it would have been perfect if we spent time there up till lunch, would have cooked Maggie, and would leave after lunch.
But there is always next time. So this was our short trip yesterday to Karad dam.
See you soon.
So peaceful,loved it
Thank you….
