Kesharva Waterfall: Soak yourself in positivity

By Kajal Shah Gujarat

Hello all,

Life is like roads. For some, it is like bumpy, raw off-roads. For some, it is the Mumbai Borivali highway, which has heavy traffic jams. For some, it is as smooth as the New Delhi-Mumbai expressway, where they can feel all the thrills at extreme speed. For some, it is like mountain roads. I like, and I wish for the last one. The roads are not straight. Whether you want or not, you have to bend. And while crossing those zig-zag roads, you cross many valleys, many difficulties, and many passes. But there is a thrill with a contentment in those serpentine roads. And what can we say about views? If life is like that, then there will be a different view at every turn. And that, too, is incompatible with any other!

How we wish! But here, staying in the city, we can live our life like that! We can make it more interesting! We can make it more thrilling! We can add some tadka to daily boring life with tempting spices. We do that by our Sunday morning visits.

This morning, we went to Kesharva waterfall near Rajpipla. In pictures, it looked like a regular waterfall like Barkhadi. But we went ahead with our plan. And how fantabulous our outing was!

It is the waterfall where you can soak, you can bathe, you can drench, you can swim, and you can take a dip! And the best part is you hardly have to walk around 1 km.

Kesharva is a village in between Bharuch and Rajpipla. You can take the main National highway via Por, or you can go from the Dabhoi highway. The drive to the village is also scenic. There is one Bhathiji Maharaj temple. You can park your car just ahead of it. I have tried to show the trail in the best possible way, but you can take the help of some local kids so that you can reach them easily. First, the trail passes through the farm and is straightforward. After a few meters, the trail with black soil starts. You will also get a signboard from the forest department. A few steps ahead, there is a diversion on your left side, and the trail becomes rocky and somewhat slippery. You can hear the sound of a gushing waterfall. And you might want to run all the way down to the fall.

First, we took our time to soak the site in our minds and soul. Shaurya sat quietly on one giant boulder in the middle of the stream. Sheel and Satva sat near the fall. We all were quiet. We were enjoying the drizzle. And then, turn by turn, all three of them went inside the water, and then they were limitless, unrestrained, and unbounded. Don’t go in the plunge pool near the smaller fall, as that part has deep water.

Points to consider:

  • Please don’t litter and keep the place clean…It is one of the few waterfalls where we saw the least plastic. Let’s keep it that way.
  • Your trail is along the stream, so wear proper shoes.
  • The waterfall is seasonal. We went there before 15 days, but the flow was not there. one kind-hearted person shared his number, and this time, we called him first before going. I am sharing his number, but just a small request, please use wisely. Mr. Suresh – 8160355413
