Vadatalav : One of the best sunrise near Vadodara

I have two old Chikankari kurtas which I wear at home. They are my comfort wear. I wear them so often that the cotton of that kurta is now as soft as mulberry silk. Whatever my mood is, whatever time of the day is, and whatever the matter is, I get a tiny smile on my face, even if it is for a fraction of a second when I wear them. So, the moral of the story is that we all have some comfort zone. It can be clothes, food, a place, a song, a book, or a person on whom we can rely. For me, mountains and waterbodies are also in that category.
We Barodians are not unknown to Vadatalav. Located in the lap of mighty Pawagadh, it is one of the most serene locations in the vicinity of the city. It is the place we have taken for granted, one of the most underrated, undervalued, and under-appreciated places.
After having no blogs for two Sundays, here I am, sharing one of the most common places. Why? Because the answer is simple: Sunrise from Vadatalav is our comfort zone. Just go there early morning. Sit near the helipad, view, and feel the magic. The calmness of the lake on your left and the mightiness of Pawagadh on your right, a company of loved ones with a cup of tea….these definitely soothe our disarrayed minds!
Just opposite to Vadatalav, there is a beautiful, well-maintained mosque ruin known as Khajuri Mosque also known as Kabutarkhana.
So, concluding this short post with a few pictures… I am sure you all must have visited this place. Do share your thoughts also.
Points to consider:
- Sunrise and sunset are amazing here.
- The place becomes crowded in the late morning and evening hours.
- Please, please, don’t litter…
- Monsoon and winter is the best time.

There are few resort nearby but we have stayed only in Champaner Heritage resort.
